Hi, I'm Joe Upton, a.k.a Shattered Lens Paintball. I make Paintball Videos and have been involved in the sport for nearly 10 years. 

Paintball is a huge part of me, and I have been fortunate enough in that time to have had so many phenomenal experiences, both in the UK and abroad. Videos produced for the Shattered Lens Page, as well as for teams and clients serve as great reminders and trigger fantastic memories.

I also met my closest friends playing paintball, and whilst some now no longer play, every time we are together, paintball is always a topic of conversation. Anecdotes from various trips always being a highlight, or moments I forgot even had even happened, whilst others remembered. Those are (usually) always a pleasant surprise.

The Sideline is a way for me to write about and stash away my paintball experiences, and in  doing so share them with others. I'm a Media guy, so my usual place on the paintball field, is on the Sideline. For that reason I'd love to think I've been really clever naming this blog, I wonder how many would agree though. 

I hope you enjoy this. I have always said the best thing about paintball is the stories and experiences that come from it. I love listening to them, and now it is time to start sharing some of mine.
